Schuler to speak at Third Annual IAAR Conference

Kroll’s Karen Schuler to speak at Third Annual IAAR Conference: Winning the Endgame of Financial Crime

Karen Schuler, Certified Fraud Examiner and practice leader of Kroll’s Cyber Security & Information Assurance business has been selected to speak at the International Association for Asset Recovery (IAAR) Third Annual Conference, Winning the Endgame of Financial Crime, Nov. 17-18 at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas.

Schuler will address the latest trends and techniques in asset recovery as part of four sessions:

• General Session 1: Osama bin Laden’s Data Haul – The Asset Tracing and Operative Lessons It Teaches Through ‘Analog’ and Digital Investigations (Thursday, Nov. 17 – 9:00  - 10:15 a.m.)
• Workshop: E-Mail, Caches, Cookies and Hidden Files That Help You Make Asset Tracing and Recovery Cases (Friday, Nov. 18 – 9:00 - 10:15 a.m.)
• Workshop: Bring Your Laptop – Capitalizing on Web-Based Tools, Social Network Search and Databases to Find Asset Recovery Gold (Friday, Nov. 18 – 11:00 - 12:15 p.m.)
• Financial Crimes: Defeating Financial Crimes Over the Wires and Through the Web (Friday, Nov. 18th – 3:15 - 4:30 p.m.)

As a recognized risk management expert and author with more than 20 years of professional services experience, Schuler oversees a highly skilled team at Kroll that is focused on responding to network threats and data breaches, and remediating and restoring corporate assets and consumer identities. She has a diverse background in forensics, discovery, and technology consulting, from C-suite roles to hands-on investigative work to providing expert witness testimony.
